Young people get a taste for design at Juiced Media
Juiced media has recently welcomed three work experience employees as part of their commitment to the New Anglia Youth pledge marque after committing to the scheme in March.
Alex Powney (20), Shonagh Hales (19) and Jordan Stevenson (19) joined on 23rd March, 25th April, and 1st May respectively, as part of a 12 week work experience scheme.
Whether finding themselves at the company from either their own initiative like Alex, through their own interests such as Jordan, or from being recommended to join from another business as Shonagh was, the three have found themselves working alongside managing director Joe Scott to learn graphic design, web development and digital marketing skills.
When asked about their experience at Juiced Media, Alex had said that his time at the company has been “entertaining and knowledgeable. Everyone here works well with one another”. He continues on to say that he enjoyed “gaining more knowledge about IT and digital marketing”.
Jordan shares the same feeling as he also says “it’s been a very fun experience and I enjoy the company of the people I work with”. Shonagh had said that her work experience had “given me a new appreciation for his kind of work" and says “I never thought of myself as a technically minded person, but being here has proven me wrong and i’ve really enjoyed the work”.
The guys have all said having experience to put on their CV's is especially useful for young people with no previous employment and as well as being able to learn particular skills that will help them with their future careers.
Joe Scott, managing director of Juiced Media said “it’s been a pleasure having all three of the guys here and each of them have brought different skills and benefits to Juiced Media. I wish them all the best for the future.”
